The epoxy base coat is the foundation of nearly every system we install. The slab is mechanically ground to open the pores, cracks and pits are repaired, and the epoxy is then rolled into clean, bare concrete so it grips rather than sits on top.
Best for: Garages, basements, shops and utility spaces
Epoxy is a two-part resin that cures into a hard, chemically resistant film. On a properly prepared slab it bonds into the surface, which is why prep matters more than the product does — the same epoxy over a dirty or sealed floor is what peels in a year.
As a standalone finish this is the most affordable way to get a sealed, washable garage or basement floor. It also serves as the base layer underneath our flake and polyaspartic systems.

Mechanical grinding
The slab is ground to fully open the pores. This is the step most companies skip, and it is the one that decides whether a coating lasts.
Crack and pit repair
Cracks, joints and damaged areas are repaired before anything is coated, so they do not telegraph back through the finish.
Base coat
The base coat goes down onto clean, bare, open concrete — so it bonds into the slab instead of sitting on it.
Flake or decorative broadcast
Vinyl flake, quartz or metallic pigment is worked in, depending on the system and the look you are after.
Scrape, clean and seal
The floor is scraped back smooth, cleaned, and sealed under a polyaspartic topcoat built to take daily use.
