Grind and Seal
$4.25/sq ft
If your floor already has a coating on it that is lifting, flaking or discoloured, this is the reset. We grind the old material off, take the slab back to clean concrete, and apply a protective sealer.
Best for: Slabs with old, peeling or flaking coatings

Grinding also exposes a little of the aggregate, which gives the finished floor a cleaner, more consistent look than the patchy surface underneath.
It is the most economical way to deal with a failed coating without tearing out and replacing perfectly good concrete — which is usually a several-thousand-dollar job.
What you get
- Removes old sealers, paint and failing coatings
- Takes the slab back to clean, bare concrete
- Protective sealer applied over the top
- Far cheaper than replacing the slab

Mechanical grinding
The slab is ground to fully open the pores. This is the step most companies skip, and it is the one that decides whether a coating lasts.
Crack and pit repair
Cracks, joints and damaged areas are repaired before anything is coated, so they do not telegraph back through the finish.
Base coat
The base coat goes down onto clean, bare, open concrete — so it bonds into the slab instead of sitting on it.
Flake or decorative broadcast
Vinyl flake, quartz or metallic pigment is worked in, depending on the system and the look you are after.
Scrape, clean and seal
The floor is scraped back smooth, cleaned, and sealed under a polyaspartic topcoat built to take daily use.
